"Imagination is everything.
It is the preview of life's coming attractions"

Albert Einstein

This is one picture that I found online. I took it into photoshop and inverted it and then used the masking tool to get rid of part of the top image. It looks more complicated than that, maybe, I think so at least. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland and the Chesire Cat.

"I often think that the night
is more alive and more richly colored
than the day"

Vincent Van Gogh

Yes Van Gogh. When the dinosaurs roamed the earth the night was more alive and colorful than the day.

I really really wish that I could have seen a real life dinosaur. BUT I probably would be terrified of being eaten by them so I'll be happy just looking at fossils and replicas thank you very much.

This is a combination of four or five images that I composited.

"whatever my lot,
thou hast taught me to say
it is well, it is well ,with my soul."
Horatio Spafford

One of my favorite worship songs that we sing at Rock City is "It Is Well" by Bethel Music sung by Kristene Dimarco. I listen to it constantly in my car and the rest of that album actually.

Even more than this song though I love the song "It Is Well With My Soul" by Horatio Spafford. That Hymm is one of my all time favorites. The story behind the song is the most incredible part.

Spafford  planned a trip for his family to take a European tour after he had some financial trouble in 1871 and 1873. After a business delay he sent his wife and four daughters on a ship ahead and he planned to join them later. The ship carrying his family sank after it collided with another ship.  While his wife survived his four daughters did not. Spafford wrote the lyrics to "It Is Well With My Soul" as he crossed the place where the ship sank and his daughters lost their lives.

To think that Spafford could write these words even though his four daughters died at sea. To think that he could say it was well with his soul even though he lost so much. To think that he was able to praise the Lord even in his darkest hour.

Now my "trials" do not seem so hard to bear. And I need to remind myself to praise the Lord and know that it is well.

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
Refrain:
It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
let this blest assurance control,
that Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
and hath shed his own blood for my soul.
(Refrain)

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
(Refrain)

And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
even so, it is well with my soul.
(Refrain)

"Creativity is Intelligence having fun."
Albert Einstein

I'm still slightly bitter that I didn't seen an elk while I was out in Colorado. I was told that it was a very slim chance to see one, but I was still optimistic.

I decided that I would make my own elk picture since I couldn't take one of a wild elk. And to be extra creative I made it purple because everyone knows that purple is an elk's favorite color (I didn't fact check that).

This is a combination of four different photos, none are mine.

Somethings take forever. It feels like eternity and it stretches on and on even though its only been a year. But here's to hoping that since it has been so long the fruit will be the best. Patience is key.

"But he who dares not grasp the thorn
Should never crave the rose"

Anna Bronte

I remember a lot from my childhood. I have a bit of a photographic memory, and I can remember things only by images. If I can't think of an image that goes with a memory, I can't access the memory. That might be true for a lot of people.

One of my memories from 2nd grade was of a book that we read where a child drew on the walls with chalk. Our teacher had us do an activity where we used white crayon on black construction paper. I remember loving it but we could only use white crayons. So I decided to use white, pink and green today.

If your curious about the book, I don't really remember what it was about, but I found the title. Its called "The Chalk Box Kid" by Clyde Robert Bulla.

"With Mirth and laughter

March 14th has a special place in my heart. So today I celebrated. Bibibop is an excellent place for lunch and High School Musical: Get Your Head in the Game is an excellent board game to play with friends. Also I love giraffe balloons, lipstick, pushpins, and cow pillows (in case you were wondering)

Its truly horrible advice. But sometimes that seems like the easiest thing to do. And lets be honest, sometimes you need to scream and shout.

Spring Break 2016. The last Spring Break of my college career.

My roomates (Becky and Olivia) and I decided we would plan a fantastic trip to take a break from capstone and just have a great time together. We didn't want to do the typical beach Spring Break trip. We wanted to do some hiking and go out west, and none of us had ever been to Colorado Springs so thats where we decided to go!

It was amazing how God worked it out so that we could stay with the family of one of my good friends from when I was in choir in middle school. Instead of flying we drove the 20 hours out to Colorado Springs and had the best road trip.

We visited Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, the Incline, Manitou Springs, Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort and a lot else. I had never been to Colorado before and the scenery was incredible. I was in awe of God's majesty and the beauty of his creation.

This was the trip of a lifetime and I will always remember our adventures and the sweet memories we made.

Since we were busy hiking and adventuring everyday I knew I would not be able to post everyday on my blog, so I decided to make a video to capture our trip and I worked on it a little bit everyday. For my second time using iMovie I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
