Oh time you are slipping away. The more you go by the faster you feel. 

Its truly horrible advice. But sometimes that seems like the easiest thing to do. And lets be honest, sometimes you need to scream and shout. 

The night on Lake Logan Road. The night we talked and laughed and just enjoyed the friends that we have all become. The night that we played tag on hay bales. The night that we wanted to never end. 

I've always wanted to make a vector file of my lips. I think the problem was I used a nude lipstick instead of a red. It didn't show up great on the paper. Pretty good for a first time. 

Recently I have felt a little lost in the wilderness of life. But I'm thankful for it because it has taught me to rely on God more than myself. It's still a daily struggle because I like to believe that I am fully capable and can accomplish anything. But the truth of the matter is that I am nothing without Him. The only reason I am creative is because His spirit is living within me and I am made in His image. So I am going to continue to learn to trust God with my life; because ultimately living for Him is the only thing that matters.

Today I feel like I can fly again. And that's really all that matters. So I will fly and not doubt. 

If you have read my about me page, seen my instagram, visited my apartment or just talked to me, you will probably know that I love cacti. I'm not sure why I love them so much; maybe its because they are resilient little plants that rarely die. Currently I have about seven in my apartment. They sit on a little sill by my front door and they make me smile whenever I walk past them. 

Good friends are like cacti. They make me smile. They brighten my day. They are resilient. And yes sometimes they can be a bit prickly but I love them nonetheless. I'm thankful for my friends.

Monday. Dreary. Cold. Papers. Tests. Projects. 
Senior year of college is stressful and there are way to many decisions to be made. At times its overwhelming; today is one of those days. 

I'm choosing to smile. Do I feel like smiling? No. Do I need to smile? Yes. 

Since Grammar School this has been my signature smiley face to doodle. Big grin and big eyes. Familiar and happy. Recently I've been exploring hand lettering; so lets throw some one here too.
